Christine Liebenwein is a predoctoral researcher in the Vienna Media Change and Innovation Lab at the Department of Communication. In her research, she focuses on adolescents’ interactions with generative AI and the implications of AI-assisted learning for competence perceptions, cognitive processes, and academic outcomes.
She completed her Master’s degree in Journalism and Communication Studies (MA, 2026) at the University of Vienna and previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science (BA, 2022) at the University of Salzburg. Prior to her predoctoral position, she worked as a teaching assistant in the Vienna Media Change and Innovation Lab and contributed to research projects on adolescents’ social media use, political information consumption, and trust in digital information sources.
