From September 8-9, we organized the symposium "How Digital Interventions Affect Political Attitudes & Knowledge among Young Citizens“ in Vienna, welcoming colleagues from the University of Antwerp and KU Leuven.
The symposium was part of the YOUVOICE project led by Peter van Aelst, Desirée Schmuck, Michaël Opgenhaffen and Stefaan Walgrave.
The day was full with presentations on the use of voting advice applications, fact-checks and influencers among youth stemming from our youth panel containing more than 4,000 youngsters in Flanders.
We thank our discussants from the Department of Communication and the Department of Government for their sharp questions and constructive feedback!
