Team VMCI at the Vienna Children’s University

This summer, three of our team members brought their research to a young audience at the Vienna Children’s University.

As part of this year’s Vienna Children’s University, Maximilian Klesl, Christine Liebenwein and Hannah Aichmayer held the seminar “Politik? Social Media?! Wem kann ich da denn glauben?” for children aged 10 to 12.

Together, they explored how politics appears on social media and why politicians, news media, influencers and other users post about political topics. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, the participants learned how to assess the trustworthiness of different sources and identify whether information shared online is reliable or misleading.
